Supposedly FBR application accepted in mid February 2019 (via Paris Embassy) following 6 months of provision of additional/corrected documents ....
Non a peep since, efforts to contact event in communication, notwithstanding in process
Anyone else in similar situation, eighteen month and counting and barely any advice?

I applied for FBR in February 2019 through Irish Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus. Still waiting, and saying the Rosary for success soon.

Good to know I am not on my own. But information technology is extremely frustrating. Hopefully 1 of usa will hear something soon :D

Spoke to the Paris Diplomatic mission they received my documents in February 2019 yet they only submitted the documents to Ireland for processing in 2020 (before COVID lock down). That means i year of lost time, I need to get the documents to be able to utilise for residency in France under the Withdrawl Agreement this yr. They have totally screwed me on this one...... Cannot get through DFAT web conversation which is continuously downwardly, where to directly complaints to? Whatsoever experience?

Tin can any ane assistance me understand why some of the applicants for FBR submit their documents directly to Balbriggan and others to the Commonwealth of Republic of ireland Diplomatic mission in the land alive in?

As I now understand the Ireland Embassy in Paris has held my documents for 12 months in advance to sending to Ireland so my 2018 application has not yet been acknowledged, whilst applications that submitted their documents to Balbriggan in the showtime half of 2019 are already receiving their FBR Certificates?

This is my procedure
Awarding submitted online: 21 Aug 2018 (additional/corrected documents submitted to Paris 3 times between Aug 2018 and February 2019, then no more requests, no confirmations)
Electronic mail acknowledging receipt of documents (Balbriggan): Pending
Confirmation of address email: Pending
Appointment added to FBR: Pending
Congrats email: Awaiting
FBR certificate received: Awaiting

It would be super helpful to understand, I have been online waiting for the FBR web chat for the past hours to get some answers.....

They said they just recently received the witness form but information technology arrived in Dublin over 9 weeks agone

Cannot get through DFAT spider web chat which is continuously down, where to direct complaints to? Any experience?

With the web chapeau, I found it mostly says they are offline, merely if yous keep refreshing the screen, it does let you lot in, I retrieve they simply have a certain number of queue spaces, virtually twenty, and once the queue is full, you get the gray button.

If you grab information technology as they finish with someone, you exercise get to enter the queue.

One matter I found, the difficult way. . . Have your electronic mail, app number and initial question ina document to copy and paste QUICKLY as soon equally you get the active conversation, the outset few times I tried, past the time you lot have typed in a state of war and peace question, someone else has nabbed the space in the queue and you get the not available message.

Information technology took me about an hour of waiting to become to the caput of the queue, Only, don't be tempted to refresh the screen, if the position in the queue looks to be stuck!! I did this and information technology crashes you out, information technology is just a waiting game and the number does driblet, in small and big increments . .

Good luck

It'due south but a few days, but I thought registered mail was scanned at every pace and had improve tracking. Maybe it's nevertheless waiting in Dublin for a specific flight, or sitting in a US postal middle. Do whatever United states of america-based applicants on this forum recall a like experience? :?

Same hither. I assumed mine was very straightforward, I believe it is, other than the fact that I accept two applications in (for my twins). All docs were in order, even did it when I was at home (I am Irish and grew up in Ireland just was born in the UK and lived at that place until I was half-dozen months quondam). Posted all the docs from Ireland, had them all vetted by An Garda Siochana etc etc.

Awarding submitted online: 29 May 2019

I got onto the webchat the other mean solar day and was given the unhelpful answer of "well applications are taking 12 - 18 months, and yours is at present 15 months so it could take up to another three months and nosotros'll be in touch if we demand annihilation". I practice wonder what would cause it to be delayed beyond others' timelines.

Hi, I read a few suggestions on this forum (including yours) and am following the implicit advise - sending DOCs directly to Balbriggan rather than than to the Republic of ireland'due south diplomatic mission for re-direction to FBR section (as the grade itself stipulates).

Hey guys,

Long time lurker of this forum. Information technology's been a corking to follow the updates on where everything has been at with the FBR!
Just received the confirmation of address email :D I wasn't expecting it for another couple of months.
I've been looking forwards to becoming Irish gaelic for so long!
Here is my timeline:
Application submitted online: 22 July 2019
E-mail acknowledging receipt of documents (Balbriggan): 08 August 2019
Confirmation of accost email: 09 Oct 2020
Date added to FBR: Pending
Congrats email: Pending
FBR certificate received: Pending

Its a flake strange that in that location is notwithstanding tardily May 2019 applicants that are waiting and and so many people have been skipped. My only estimate is that maybe the FBR squad are working from abode due to Covid-nineteen and they take taken a big stack of applications from the pile and I'm lucky enough that mine was close to the acme of the stack.

Hullo AntrimGrandchild,
Question for a US bidder (me too) - what did they asking, exactly, in the confirmation of address email? Only that y'all confirm that the address on the application is yet right? Or did they request bodily proof of address again? And if the latter, can you email it or have to submit by snail-post? Thank you!

However, the FAQs on the website betoken that no email volition exist sent for receipt of documents. Then possibly the policy has recently changed?

I am still trying to connect with webchat, every time I try the agents are busy.

I got through on webchat today - they confirmed that an email receipt would be sent when they entered the application into the system.

Information in relation to electric current processing timelines can be found on our webpage www.dfa.ie/citizenship/born-abroad/regi ... ign-nascence/

Please exercise not respond to this email every bit it is machine-generated."

Thanks MikeyMike! Hopefully I'll receive mine soon.

I got through to webchat this morning. They confirmed my documents were received in March and resent the confirmation email. The representative stated that the estimated plow effectually time is 12 - 18 months, and that they are currently working on July 2019 applications.

Checking the condition of my tracking number. An Mail and USPS say my post was processed through Dublin Mail Centre on Oct 3rd. Notwithstanding, there have been no further updates posted since then. Information technology's merely a few days, but I thought registered mail was scanned at every step and had better tracking. Possibly information technology's still waiting in Dublin for a specific flight, or sitting in a US postal eye. Do any US-based applicants on this forum call back a like experience? :?

Appears I was wrong virtually the tracking. I constitute this on the USPS site FAQ page:

"Can International Registered Mail be tracked?
Registered Mail items cannot be tracked through the mailstream and will not provide updated scans."

It goes on to say that I can check the tracking number online, of course. But if there are no updated scans, I guess the condition will remain "In-Transit" until it arrives. More patience...
